I bike commute and ride recreationally on road (a tandem and numerous half bikes). Also have a mountain bike which hasn't seen many miles last few years. Looking forward to meeting new friends and possible tandem partners ;-)

ride lots...recreational riding, bike commuting, centuries and double centuries
Intermediate, riding 200+ miles a week
Completed Triple Crown challenge several times including gold 1000 mile club (five Doubles in one year)
Meet up has various levels of rides to appeal to all riders. No one was pressured to ride faster than they were capable of or felt comfortable with. We regrouped often so it was a group ride from beginning to end.

"No they do not check your number. BUT it is a good idea to pick up your registration packet on Friday before the event. Otherwise you will be at their mercy and fighting the crowd to check in on Saturday morning...."
"Perry, Since I'm sign-in person for that "other" Club I will be there. I do plan to start earlier though...probably 4:30 which DBC doesn't mind if you don't over-run the reststops."
"Hi Lourdes, I'm riding the Phurlough Phriday Evening ride. If you want to try the tandem I could bring it out instead of my half bike. It is already set up with Lights so you would not need to bring any. We'd have to meet early to set the bike up for you. It would be a lot of fun, fun, fun!!!"
"leading a HW Mtn bike ride same day :-)"
"Flower Farm should be able to support the size of the group as long as the groups spread themselves out...in other words don't all show up at once...some folks will be standing/sitting outside or walking the "garden" area as other people arrive...."
"Gotta work that day :-("
