The Hammerin' Wheels was my first Sacramento Area cycling club back in 2008. Being retired I also joined the Bike Hikers and the Sacramento Wheelmen to take advantage of their weekday rides, which also introduced me to multi-day rides. It's all good.

Longer, pretty ones with hills. Slightly scaled-down versions of staggart's epic suffer-fests.
To ride at least 5 times a week. Maybe 10000 miles a year. And enjoy it.

This group means great people, new rides, & better fitness. Riding with others will push you out of your comfort zone, show you new places to ride, and get you in better shape. Join in and you will get more enjoyment out of your bike.

Thank you for the vote of confidence. Are you sure you aren't thinking of someone else? The ride was a lot of fun and very nice people to ride with. Thanks for all the support you and Mica showed us and the welcome was fabulous! See ya soon!
Hey Steve, maybe you should just show up in Ione at 9am.
I dig the new addition to you name Mad Dog!
