Introduction

Started on the Mountain Bike side, but got my 1st road bike July 3rd! I'd been enjoying the American River bike trail, but enviously watching all the speedy road bikes just pass me by. Fast is good!

Where did you hear about us?

Cross over from Mountain side, found that from my Hot Air Ballooning Meetup group.

What rides would you like to see on the calendar?

I'm interested in advancing my riding, specifically climbing. There's some rides next year that I'm thinking more and more about!

What goals are you setting for yourself, if any?

2009 is a fittness year for me. Biking is a large part of that! I want to train for & complete all 5 passes on the Death Ride 2010.

What level biker are you?

When I joined I had beginner here. I've never seen a description of levels, or a class/test like on the mountain side. If I haven't reached intermediate level at this point, I think I'm close.

Do you have any success stories you can share with everyone?

OK! First road bike ride 7/3/09, 35 miles on my new Giant Defy. First Century, 100 miles, 5200 ft elevation, 8/22/09, taking me to 1400 miles in 7 weeks riding.
