Ride Summary
Length: 62.5 miles
Speed: 14 - 17 mph on flats, slower on hills.
Terrain: some urban miles in beginning, mostly rural, pretty!, hills!
Sweep: No, but we will do re-groups, esp at top of hills
Climb: around 4500 ft
Meet at 7:30 am, roll at 7:45 am!
This should be a pretty and challenging ride! Keep those climbing legs in shape - or get them there!
It will be moderate-paced, but those that want to hammer can go ahead. I will not be sweeping (or I may sweep defacto depending who comes out
- this is not a problem for me). I will have re-group points, particularly at the top of hills.
Here is the map and cue sheet. Here is the cue sheet. Please print your own and bring along ... I'll bring a few extras.
As always. Helmet Required!. Bring sunscreen, plenty of water, and snacks - it's still summer! Although we will have lunch and plenty of places to refuel. You should be self-suffcient and have a patch kit/spare tube, and pump or CO2.
Hey Javier, I was going to develop a cue sheet based on the mmr one in a pdf format so people don't have to worry about printing from mmr. I'll post it in the next couple days.
Ah ...got it ...I was wondering if there was in general, I know a lot of people like MMR, I actually started using ridewithgps.com because of this reason, doesn't cost to print a route sheet from ridewithgps.com
yeah for some reason the save on rrgps doesn't work for me. I'll change the guest status, but you are welcome to bring as many guests as you like. I'm guessing if they are hs kids I'll be riding in their dust, but I'm fine with that :)
You really DON'T want people printing cue sheets directly from Map My Ride. There are so many major errors (missing turns, right instead of left turns, and vice-versa). I recommend hand massaging to original output from MMR!
Hey Perry, thanks - that's my usual approach. I really wish I could get RWGPS to work and save routes for me. It just hates me unfortunately!
Jodi, have you tried firefox? ...it's wierd but on my office computer I can use internet explorer with RWGPS, but on my laptop I have to use firefox ....no idea why other than office = XP Pro and laptop = Vista
hmmm ... I'll have to try firefox ... I have a laptop with xp, so this should be an interesting experiment. But no, in general, I don't think you can print off MMR w/o a subscription. As Perry notes, they have weird directions anyhow :)
I shouldn't say this because I will jinx myself, but RWGPS now likes me and a link to the map and semi-final cue sheet is up. I loaded firefox on my laptop, it still did not work, went back to IE, which now inexplicably works. hmmm .... it's a plot, I know it.
Jodi, will you have route sheets for us or should we print up our own?
Cue sheet for the ride on sunday ... please print your own and bring it. Here's a link if you don't want to wallow through the whole calender item:

Jodi I road your route on Saturday with my friend Jane, and we loved it. It was challenging but fun. My first time climbing Shirtland, Baxter Grade, Sierra, etc all in a day. Thanks for a great map. I miss the group.
Ok, so this is my first attemp at a movie

So is there a way to print the route sheet on mapmyride without having to pay?
