Tired of the heat and getting up early to beat the heat? Here is the ultimate sleep in ride!
We will start out at the Starbucks in Gold River off of Sunrise and venture out to Folsom and eventually El Dorado Hills to sneak in some hills. On our return, hopefully by dark, we will hit the bike trail around Folsom Crossing Bridge and enjoy the bike trail IN THE DARK! So bring your lights!
Afterwards we can enjoy some beverages at Starbucks or maybe even a glass of wine at Il Forno Classico.
Meetup at 6:45, Depart by 7 pm sharp!
This is NOT a hammerfest. So leave those little hammers at home. With this ride being partially in the dark, it is important we ride together for our safety. Oh, and it's a little more fun to chat too!
Front and rear lights are required for this ride. Reflective gear would be good too.
Here is a link to the map. Don't bother with the cue sheet. It's a simple route and we will be riding together.
Helmet and Lights are required. Don't forget the liquids and something to munch on. There will be stops for water and restrooms along the way.
Don't bother setting that alarm unless you have a crazy Friday night planned!
If you have any questions please e-mail me.
Ha! I'd do it. They do have outside patio seating so we don't stink up the whole place with our sweaty selves. ;-p
Mica, you'd definitely get the "Biggest-Stones-of-the-Day"
award if you walk into Il Forno in your jersey and shorts after a ride and order a glass of wine (bonus points if you can convince them to give you happy hour discounts)
