Thanks for organizing Mica! Great group, great route, and the Hub stop was a nice way to recoup from the swift pace! We finished with 57 miles and a 17.0 mph pace!
Thanks Mica for another epic ride through the backroads. I'm especially thankful for the half of Cliff Bar--I'm sure it made a difference in climbing Shirtland Tract. Next time I'll won't be such an idiot and eat before I ride with you guys. Sure can't wing-it riding with this faster group.
It's been too long since I climbed hills with the Hammerin' Wheels crew. Thanks everyone for a great morning ride. Can't wait to ride with you all again!
Thanks to Mica and Dave for organizing (and sweeping). That was fun, and it hurt a little on the hills, so I'm sure it was just what I needed!
Great ride. You guys definitely ride like the club's namesake. No warm up-just hammer. And hammer we did. 27-29 pace lining down Eureka right from the start. Shirland Tract is stinger of a climb. Beautiful area. Had a nice pace line coming back. Fortunately we had Allie along to take care of that gal in the slow poke group. I hope she's alright.
Hey folks, I am working on getting some flowers to Kathy for her fall. If anyone is interested in chipping in you can send a donation through the site. http://www.hammerinwheels.com/dues/
All donations received today and tomorrow will go toward the flowers.
As an update: she is alert but has 8 broken ribs. She wanted to extend her personal thanks to all those who assisted. She will be in Sutter Roseville for the next 4-5 days.
Allie, Sarah, and I will be riding in from Rocklin. We should be there between 7:40-7:50a if we time it right. But if we are not there by 8:00a, we are riding to the meetup on Eureka so we will run into you guys!
