Total climbing? How many times will you get up for beer and hit the head?
Total distance? See the previous question.
I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I have a big backyard with a pool. Bring all appropriate stuff if you are an aquatic cyclist.
This is a cyclists' party. We will gather and talk about how big the fish was that got away... er... how big that last 15%+ mountain you climbed at 18mph was when no one was there to see it. Seriously, I have had a great year so far with the Meetup riders. I also had the rare opportunity to see the SF premier of this great award-winning cycling film called "Ride the Divide" and I happened to win a copy of it while at the theater last weekend. I had wanted to have a Meetup party even before I won this DVD but now that I have a copy, it would be fun to spend time together waxing philosophic about the relative merits of a triple vs. a compact vs. a MTB rear cassette and watching this film. This is a rare treat to get a preview of this film and see how much dirtier my garage is than my already dirty van & bike ;) If you are not inspired to jump on the bike after watching this film, we may just have to check your spoke tension
See here of a preview of the film.
You can also meet my two sons, Austin & Logan who have already done some amazing cycling this year themselves. The two of them together weigh less than most any one of us yet they have put in some serious miles and climbing.
Rules: You have to have ridden one of my Meetup Rides in 2010 OR met me at one of the other Meetup rides I have done OR be signed up for one of my upcoming rides (there are a few!), OR have a damn good excuse to come and meet me now! You bring the beer you like, I will throw some form of over-fatted protein on the BBQ and we will have a party! If you forget the beer, I will have some of that too.
If you ride your bike to the event, you get a high-five and the admiration of your fellow cyclists! If needed, I will give you and your bike a ride home. Promise!
A Yes RSVP will get you email directions to my home.

Steve, you asked if we could do this another time... I hold about 1 party a year at my home, so this is a stretch for me ;) Use it or lose it.
What is that picture all about?
