Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

Wow. It's been awhile since I've been to the Flower Farm.

This ride is intended for those who are ready to ride outside of the bike trail. If you want an introduction to some moderate hills like Sierra College and Oak Hill, then this is the ride for you.

We will meet at Vic's Market at 8:15 and roll out at 8:30 sharp. We will ride through Barton, Sierra College to Horseshoe Bar and take a break at one of my favorite coffee shop - The Flower Farm. Once in awhile, there's a trio of guitars and violin who plays at the coffee shop. I hope we get to see them this time. They are just plain incredible.

After the break, we'll turn back around and go back to Vic's Market via Val Verde and Barton Rd with a quick and last hill work out at Oak Hill Rd. We'll turn on Auburn Folsom Road back to Oak Ave Parkway.

This route has some nice and easy rollers and country roads. Perfect for a beginner hill climber.

Please be sure that you can handle the 30 miles and can easily average 15 mph at the bike trail. This is a step up from Beals so make sure you are competent enough to handle Beals Pt. before signing up for this ride.

Our Route

Please print your own Route Cue Sheet.

As always, helmets are required. Bring food and/or money for the coffee shop.

Rain cancels.
