E26 - Phurlough Phriday Phrenzy - Gold Country to Guy West & Back in the Dark

Since we were rained out last Friday, let's try it again. This time, the weather is looking pretty good!

TGIF - a shake off the week ride. Shortly after the ride starts we will be in the dark so lights are needed.

The distance is approx 26 miles and the pace is in the 15-17 mph range. The ride is mostly on the bike trail and is a simple out and back route. Meaning you can turn around at anytime without fear of getting lost. This is a recreational ride and will be an easy spin as there are no hills. The ride is not intended to be a hammerfest.

We will meet in the Gold Country Center parking lot near Jamba Juice (2137 Golden Centre Lane, Gold River) at 5:30 pm and be ready to go by 5:45pm... a quick break at the Guy West bridge (Sac State) then head on back to Gold Country. We should be back by 7:30 or so. We can dig up a meal after the ride if you like (there are many choices!)

Well since Phred is not going to be on the ride, I just may hang around for dinner. What is Jacks? Is that Jack in the Box? LOL

Phrotis, it's Urban Jack's. All american food and salad. Will you wear your clown outfit? By the way, Phred has a cuter chuckle, "haha" is the bomb. LOL has to go, but coming from a clown...giggle....guess it's OK. giggle

Phun times in the dark. Little cold but company warmed everything up nicely. Thx Perry for hosting the ride. And Yes Jacks was good as well.

Great to ride in the dark, great company, and great food. Look forward to doing it again. Maybe next time my will power will cave in and get fries. Though I made up for it and had a few girl scout cookies when I got home.
