Ride Description:
We will start out at William B Pond Park and head up to via the north side of the trail along Lake Natoma to Beals Point where we will take a 10 minute break. We will head back down and hit the south side of the trail along Lake Natoma as we return to Pond Park where we will take a 10 minute break. People can choose to peel off at this point if they only want to do the 35 mile option. From there we will continue on to Discovery Park and head into Old Sacramento to dine at a place TBA for lunch. Afterwards we will head back to Pond Park.
This is an endurance ride, not a race. We will ride as a group so please be conscious of this when you RSVP. You should be able to keep a 15 mph average and be comfortable doing at least 50 miles.
Meetup at 8 am and depart by 8:15 am.
Helmets are required as always. Bring fluids, snacks as needed, and $$$ for lunch.
You can park at the 5 Points Shopping Center or along Arden Way just outside of William B. Pond Park.
Rain Cancels, light/intermittent showers do not.
Chandra, are you RSVPing for Mel again cause she's too lazy to do it so herself? lol ;-p
Now I see why Mel RSVP'd with "lazy." My friend Mariam is joining us and ended up creating her own account. I'm no longer a +1. :<(
Folks, the RSVP questions got a changed by accident so please go back and take look to make sure the right questions are answered. Thanks!
I'll meet the group at William Pond...look Mica - not only did I RSVP for myself, I posted a comment:) LOL!!
Blaine, if you can't get your beauty rest then maybe there is a chance I'll be the best looking guy on the ride...haha yeah right!
Just locked my keys and my bike in my car so if I'm not there by the time you guys wanna leave for the 65+, just go ahead and I'll meet you at the sunrise bridge or the hatchery.
ended up with 100 miles... 5:35hrs at 17.9 MPH, i never thought i could accomplish that many miles along the bike trail, i guess is not that bad with company....
Mica, check my comments, I take the high school team to annabelle's pizza when we do our "annabelle century" (from my house)
