TGIF - Shake off the week ride. Shortly after the ride starts we will be in the dark so lights are needed.
The distance is approx 20 miles and the pace is in the 15-17 mph range. The ride never leaves the bike trail and is a simple out and back route. Meaning you can turn around at anytime without fear of getting lost. This is a recreational ride and will be an easy spin as there are no hills. The ride is not intended to be a hammerfest.
We will meet at the drinking fountain/restroom near the bike trail at William Pond Park at 5:30 pm and be ready to go by 5:45pm... a quick break at Nimbus Fish Hatchery then head on back to William Pond Park. We should be back at Willy Pond by 7:15 or so.
As always your helmet is required and do not forget your light. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. [masked]
Please note that William B. Pond park will be closed by the time we return, so do not leave your vehicle inside the park. There's plenty of street parking outside (on Arden).
Hey Lisa S, don't you be going and starting rumors now. BTW, I doubt Phrotis has ever passed up a meal. :o)
Phrotis and I have already met, thank you very much.
I might crash the party if I get all my errands done in time.
im going to go to the gym before I do the ride...I ate too much...oops, I was hungry.
I crashed the party and it was worth it. I'm realling diggin' the night rides and look forward to more. Good to catch up with with a few folks I haven't seen in a while. Good company at Bella Bru after for dinner. Surprisingly the 1/2 burger and fries sat well in my stomach for the 8 animal miles home. Thanks again Perry for the ride, dinner, and mapping out the rest of my year in cycling...who new I would end up doing a triple crown this year ;-p
This is a big "yes"....Phrotis, are we gonna eat after the ride? Fred is. I can introduce you two. haha
