E18 Fish Hatchery to Beals Point (In Da Dark!)

Ride Summary:

Terrain: Mild hills at 5% grade witha few short sections of 7%
Distance: approx 18 Miles
Speed: 16 - 18 mph on the flat We may tone the speed down a bit.
Rider Level: Intermediate riders and up.
Sweep: No
Lights are recommended for this ride!

This biweekly ride will be a fast paced ride designed to build endurance and speed. We'll meet at 4:45 and leave at 5pm or before if all the Yes RSVPs are present. We'll ride up the Hazel Bridge and take the trail on the north side of Lake Natoma all the way to Beals Point. Once we arrive at Beals we'll read down to the restroom on the left side of the lot and take a quick break then head back to the Hatchery. We should be back to the hatchery by no later than 6:30.

Do not be discouraged if you get dropped on this ride. PLEASE KNOW YOUR LIMITS!

Please bring plenty of water and as always your helmet is required.

A light rain will not cancel this ride, but a heavy rain will. I will cancel by no later than 3pm. Please check the calendar before you leave!

We're a go! Weather.com only gives 10% chance of rain. No real rain until after midnight. So we will probably get soaked....

Yeah, never draft behind Jeff K when there are poles on the trail. Especially with these insane group of riders who start out running at 25mph.

My first time riding with the group out to Beal's. I have a thing with POLES on the bike trail right now. Rex can attest to it. Other than that, this ride never disappoints!
