    Hi Susan,
I'm not sure if you live in Lincoln Hills, but I've gone on a few rides with the Sun City group with my father in law and they do most of their rides on the same/similar routes as the actual ride (if you do live there, ask around because their riding groups are huge). Its very easy to group up with people during the rides also based on riding pace, and people are usually friendly and supportive! Good luck!

Sign in 7 to 8 with an 8 start for metrics. Will HW riders have a spot to group start?

I would like to start as soon as possible so that I can get done with the ride as soon as possible. I will probably get there around 6-6:30 to get a good spot, get ready, and get on the bike. right at 8.

Mica and I (possibly Frank too) are leaving my place in Antelope at 6 to put us there at 7ish which should be plenty early. I think there are going to be people leaving before 8 if I had to guess. You just need to be careful about getting to rest stops before they open.

Nice well marked course with great well stocked rest stops & friendly people! SAG vehicles were everywhere - shortly after getting off our bikes to help a lovely hapless victim of a bent rim, we simply mentioned her need for a SAG wagon and BOOM!......one appeared! Really cool. Doesn't get better than that!

    I did same-day sign-in & we pushed it pretty much to the max...Rob, Micah, Frank, & Warren-the-beast.
Frank & Rob say they were dragged? Who was pushing who? haha
We had a fast pace & my hamstrings were fried the last ten miles, but overall, it was a great training ride. I took an extra small climb home on Stanford Ranch Rd & ended up with 80 miles & 4500 feet.
I know Micah & Jeff did 100 miles from Antelope.
    Good times!

That was a fun route (perfect weather)...after the 1st rest stop after Ridge, I was not prepared mentally for the climb up Bald Hill! Great to see everyone out there too.

I think all rides should be supported by service groups instead of bike clubs. Service clubs are always happy and without food agendas. Well done TDL.

Got a late start due to wait for my Bay Area friends to arrive. Seemed like fewer riders this year but maybe because of the late start. Perfect weather helped make it a great ride!

This ride is one of the best around. Good hills but not overkill and great scenery. As mentioned by others the SAG support and rest stops were awesome!! Love the post ride meal, simple and NOT PASTA! My only gripe is the placement of the last rest stop. I don't follow the logic of putting the final stop 6 miles from the end of the ride, especially when you have been done climbing for the past 10 miles before that stop. The top of the last hill would be a better place in my opinion. That extremely minor issue aside, this is a FANTASTIC ride for the price. You cannot get this kind of value anywhere! Ended with 101 for the day, tried to hang with the big dogs in the beginning, should have stayed on the porch. : ) Lost track of how many people I saw out there! Great day for a bike ride!!!

Big fun, maybe the most of any organized ride I've done this year. Great roads (a few new to me), great scenery, and amazing support. SAG folks were everywhere, rest stops were well stocked and manned by friendly people, and the course was well marked. And it's local (no long drive)! Would do this one again in a heartbeat. :)

I really had to work like a mutt to hang with Mica, Warren, Bill, Rob... the whole ride. Great fun though. At times we must have seemed like an angry mob! Ride organizers did a good job here: Rest stops, food support was better than expected. SAG vehicles were highly present. All in all, seemed about as good as it gets for a metric century. And it was great to see actual protein offered for lunch--a variety of actual meats to choose from rather than the typical pasta slurry.

Great ride, good group. I really liked the food stops, love having OJ available to drink, and fill one of my bike bottles. Strawberries continue to be awesome. And peanut butter bananas are the bomb! Thanks Warren, Mica, Frank, and Bill for draging my tired butt to the finish line!
