Rider Level: C34 (Intermediate)

I did this variation for the first time leading with Jeff S and I can't wait to do it again. We can work up a nice big appetite for consuming all of those Super Bowl goodies!
We will meet at Newcastle Park & Ride off of Hwy 80 at Indian Hill Exit at 9:00 am and leave promptly at 9:15 am. This route goes up some rather steep hills including Shirland Tract and Ridge Rd, so you should be an intermediate hill-climber. We also start climbing early in the route so if you need additional time to warm up please arrive early!
We'll traverse through some fabulous little-traveled roads of Newcastle, including Millertown, and over to Lincoln including Virginiatown. We'll also go DOWN Steve's favorite, Chili Hill Rd.
We should be back before noon, so we can all go shower and make our Super Bowl festivities.
The cue sheets have been uploaded to our files section. Please print one out if you need one.

Good call Jeff. I'll also remind everyone to not flap their gums and miss a turn or two... ;-p
Jeff made up for the missed turn "incident" by showing us a shortcut! :>)
Riding from Roseville to Meetup.
Me and Eric are meeting @ Olympus Drive and Sierra College Bl. near Bayside Church. We will meet at 7:30 am and ride some back roads to Auburn for the Meetup.
Meet us there if you would like to go.
The weather is looking great! See everyone in the morning.
This ride had a great mix of climbs, descents, and flats - and like all HW rides, great people. I had a lot of fun trying to keep up with Jeff, Scott, SteveMD, the guy who only has 457 miles on his road bike (Dave?), and the pink Madone (Andrea?), way to push it...and Rex, dude, all your hardwork is paying off. It seems like every time I see you riding your faster and faster. Lastly, Mica thanks for going the extra mile printing queue sheets and guiding the group on hidden turns. Perfect ride.
Also as a reminder if you guys stop at the top of Shirland Tract, make sure everyone is completely off the road. It might even be a better idea to stop down by the stop sign at Maidu. We don't need another "Warren incident".
