Some more of my favorite local hills. Combined together to make an interesting route.
B/58
Distance: ~58 miles, approx 4000 feet.
Terrain: A few hills, some rollers, some steep (14% max)
Ability: Intermediate. If you've done the previous Hill Series Rides, you should be fine.
Speed: 16'ish on flats. Saving energy for the hills. Pace will be moderated on the bike trail, pending traffic.
Sweep: No, but we'll regroup at the top of each hill and at key turns.
You can print a cue sheet from the following: http://ridewithgps.co...
* Use of Aerobars prohibited on these rides (if you have them, don't use them). They are not safe for group rides. If you use aerobars, you will be asked to leave. No questions, no debates.
We're leaving from Hagan Park in Rancho at 9am sharp! That means, we start rolling at 9, be early to get ready.
This ride is NOT SWEPT! If you fall too far behind, we will not wait for you. Make sure to have a cue sheet (you can print out a cue sheet from the route link at the top) and understand the route.
If you RSVP as Maybe, it is assumed a NO unless you change it before the ride.
Rain cancels, showers does not.
The current weather forecast has rain coming in on Friday and staying with us for quite a while. Good chance we'll cancel. Keep an eye on this space.
Awww booo rain! We can tough it out, maybe? Says the guy with no rain jacket / fenders....
The weather forecast for Sunday is improving. We might get this ride in yet!
Weather Channel has a 30% chance of rain shower later Sunday. It looks like we have a shot at this thing.
Well, I'm having 2nd thoughts now. It looks like it's going to be raining in the morning. Stay tuned.
I have to admit to absolutely zero motivation to ride in the rain. And it's raining here this morning. So I'm going to cancel the ride. Enjoy your Sunday!
Oh well :( Definitely will pick this up again later when the weather lets up!
We may add in some miles and climbing if folks are interested.
