Burn off that New Year's party calories and ride!
Let us start the year right with some moderate-paced and slightly hilly ride.
We will meet at Vic's Market at 8:45 and roll promptly at 9 am.
This ride has some nice rollers which are deceptively hilly. We were surprised when Diane's computer clocked it at 2400 ft total climbing. We will ride through some new and familiar roads - Sierra College, Rocklin, Penryn, Taylor and Indian Hill. If you have ridden the Chicken Route with me before, you will recognize the return trip through ValVerde, Wells and Barton.
We will take our break at the halfway point at the Trailhead Coffee and Cycling Lounge. I will confirm as we get closer to the date to make sure they are open. If not, the Newcastle Deli is another great option.
If you were able to do the Granite Bay/Indian Hill ride before, you will have no issues with this ride. Please make sure that you are able to handle 40 miles.
Please note: RSVP will be limited to 20 unless I get other AOs to help out. I will not respond to email requests if the RSVP is already full.
This ride is intended for the Advanced Beginner and moderate paced riders.
As always, bring your helmet, snacks, water, money, etc. Bundle up as it may be very cold.
Here is our route.
Print print your own route cue sheets please. Click

Rain cancels the ride.
Yes Phred, I owe Mary a coffee. Go back to sleep will ya - sheesshh. Not only is it going to be cold, but foggy as well. May need to get out the water proof stuff. haha
Well Blaine, I normally ride in the rain. I can only handle so much of Phred's nagging, that just for piece of mind I ignore the rain. So, I just pretend it is not raining. Just like I pretend Phred is not here. :o)
Wow... It's like watching a ventriloquist argue with himself. Phred, why are you always picking on Otis? You're such a bully.
Susan ... hope your shoulder feels better already...
Thanks for the well wishes, Julio! It's going to take a few weeks : (
Hey Mary, Doesn't Otis owe you a coffee or something? I seem to recall he does.
