Happy Birthday Ride for Mica, Mary & Roy (MMR) - Karen's Bakery Style

This location is shown only to members

Ride Summary:

Pace: 15 mph
Distance: 32 miles
Terrain: Bike Trail
Sweep: NO

Take a break from all the shopping spree and relax, have breakfast and be with friends for this day.

Another great excuse to indulge yourself with all the goodies at Karen's Bakery.
We celebrated Michael Jackson's birthday last summer. This time, it's Mica's birthday! Same first initial, so it works for me. So, we will throw him a great breakfast party. We won't even mandate that he dress up like MJ! Did I also mention that there's also going to be CAKE too!

I also learned that pretty close to the same date is Mary's and Roy's birthdays! Anyone else?

We'll meet at William B Pond at 8:45 and roll at 9:00.

If other members like to start a group from other places close to home, you can post it at the comments section. I figure we will be at Karen's by 10sh so it's cool that we meet there too.

I will not be sweeping this ride so please be sure that you can stay with the group. I'm serious this time!

If Mica is unable to ride this event, we will still eat breakfast at Karen's. We'll just have to tell him how his party went shock.

As always, helmets are mandatory. Bring your money for Karen's.

Don't feel like riding? Meet us at Karen's at around 10sh or so to celebrate.

Cya all!

Thanks for setting this up Lourdes! Though it would be nice if it was later as I have a huge Christmas Party the night before in Livermore and well, might be a little hungover, lol. If not, I'll make sure to fill my water bottles w/ coffee!

P.S. I WON'T be wearing my birthday suite. It's just too darn cold!

Rick the road master. It takes about an hour from my house to WBP at 16mph. If you're taking a different route from your house I can catch you at the trail.

Jeffery the red-nosed cyclist, sang a very funny song, and all of the other cyclists, used to laugh and smirk in the paceline, when all the other cyclists used to drop him badly, Jeffery the red-nosed cyclist, would just sing even louder,....

Road bike riders rock!! Even on birthday parties. Cake was sweet and creamy. Yum! Wish I still had some for dessert after dinner.

Missed a good portion of the group ride as the starting and ending point for this ride was the greatest distance from my house. Nice touch to have a break in hour into the ride and stop at Karens. We were not the only cycling group at the bakery. Plenty of room . Sweet idea to have a mini birthday celebration. I guess chocolate won out. Might have been a bit early for beer. Great to meet some new folks.

What a great day to share w/ everyone. Lots of laughs and catching up. BIG thanks to Lourdes for organizing and ordering a cake! Thanks Chris for breakfast! While I am a year older (on Monday actually) I feel many years younger than I was a year ago thanks to biking, the weight loss that came with it, and the great friends of HW's. HW's really is THE BEST bike club around and that we have to give thanks to Jeff. Have a great holiday season everyone, see you in the new year!
