Distance: C/B 24 (not too difficult but dark)
Speed: 15-18; a little slower maybe a little faster, we'll see
Terrain: Country roads with some mild rollers (did I mention it will be dark?)
Rider Level: Intermediate and Up
Sweep: No, but we'll ride in groups, yes?
I've always wanted to do a Full Moon ride. These roads should be familiar to most who have gone up to Auburn, Lincoln or Loomis and they should be quiet on a Sunday evening. None-the-less since it will be dark this probably isn't a ride for beginners.
We will meet at Bicycles Plus parking lot at 6:30 (just before sunset) and ride out at 6:45 for a leisurely jaunt up toward Loomis via Oak Avenue and Barton and loop around Horseshoe Bar Road to Val Verde Road, Wells, Laird and back to Barton etc. We'll be done by 9:00. I'll post a cue sheet soon.
Beyond the usual helmet, water, spare tube; you'll need lights front and back and reflectors on both wheels and both pedals/ankles. And it wouldn't hurt to be wearing a reflectorized vest or sash.
