Sorry I had to bail early, my store was broken into, which is why the alarm was going off and I got called by Bay Alarm, nothing stolen, just vandals. Hope to see you guys soon!

Just as I say that, I get a call and am told we are having brunch to celebrate my grandpas birthday at 11:30am. I will start the ride, but will turn around at 10:30 or so, depending on where we are, so no after party for me.

Phred, as for post ride recovery I couldn't agree more. We should do more of that over here on the good side...

Mica, the MTB side occasionally has Pizza and Beer after the rides. That will draw them out for sure. Based on empirical evidence, it is the best post ride recovery nutrition I am aware of. :o)

FYI, we need to get to over 55/56 riders to beat the MB side for most in a meetup....just sayin'...

Nice surprise to see Rob at the Flower Farm joining us for our break. A very nice place, a great day and a pleasant group of people. 63 miles for me today coming from Natomas and back. My riding confidence is up. Thanks to Hammerin Wheels, I'd have never thought to ride that far for a meetup. This is just two months of riding. Thanks Chuck for a great day. And to all the AO's helping to keep us together. Next, back to Tuesday's run for more endurance training.

Great to start the day off with some good friends cool weather and riding my bike. Alot of new people who were excited about the group. Thanks for a great ride Chuck

Great morning ride! I told myself that I would keep a "social" pace, well that went out the window in a hurry trying to keep with the fast group. It was a great time as always, with a nice relaxed breakfast stop at Flower Farm. Great to see Rob!
    •  Good ride, good pace, rolling hills to warm the legs. Early enough that we did not have to deal with very many cars on the narrow (2) lane roads. How's the knee chuck?
    • Group Supporter
I had a great time! Nothing like a nice brisk morning ride. Route was a nice blend of rolling hills and contry roads. Everyone was very nice. Looking forward to the next event.

For starters it's nice living closer to these kinds of rides now as I was able to animal it a whole 6 miles to the start. Nice route to give me a nice little 42 mile loop to do from home. It was great to catch up with so many people I haven't seen in a while. Also great to meet a few people I haven't met, but there were so many I couldn't get to everyone! Flower Farm didn't dissapoint as I had some tasty Bagles and Lox to go along with some hot chocolate.
    •  I think I'm going to like road riding, but it's gonna suck not being able to tease my brother about being a roadie......HAH!
    • Group Supporter
Nice ride...all the tough stuff came before the break...met some new folks, enjoyed the fall foliage...getting my wind back after dealing with a cold for most of the week
    • Group Supporter
This was a great ride, socially, and for my skill level. I met a lot of new people - it was a large group - and hope to meet many of them again, soon. The ride through the Loomis country side was beautiful and the weather was a bit chilly in the beginning, but was perfect for the return. Only one mishap: when I arrived at the Flower Farm, I had a declipping incident a landed on my side. I'm ok though. The only thing hurt was my dignity.
